The town which is located across 13,000 acres of land, and surrounded by the stunning McDowell Mountains, Fountain Hills is a master-planned community originally established by McCulloch Properties in 1970 after the land was purchased by Robert McCulloch and his company in the late 1960s. Lying above 500 feet above the city of Phoenix, Fountain hills is conveniently located in the greater Phoenix metropolitan area, located just over 1,500 feet above the the town’s famous fountain while reaching as high as 3,000 feet on the town’s Golden Eagle Boulevard. Over the past quarter century, the Town of Fountain Hills has grown over 45% in population attracting residents looking to find large custom homes amongst the mountain communities that encompasses the greater town of Fountain Hills. Many residences are hillside with spectacular city lights and desert views.

Fountain Hills residents enjoy countless trails such as McDowell Regional Park which provides camping sites, bike lanes, hiking & horseback riding trails, and much more. Fountain Hills is also home to an abundant amount of leisure and entrainment options including golf courses that include the award winning Sun Canyon Golf Course positioned into the canyons of the McDowell Mountains.

Residents of Fountain Hill shop and find entrainment downtown featuring the town’s public art walk with one of the state’s largest displays of public art with over 150 art pieces across its path. The Fountain Hills Theater frequently has plays and there are plenty of dining options with views of the town’s name sake fountain located at the center of Downtown. The fountain is pumping water every 15 minutes on the hour from 9 AM- 9 PM.

Schools: Young families also call Fountain Hills home as it offers great education options through the Unified School District #98 featuring three award-winning schools that include McDowell Mountain Elementary School for Kindergarten through second grade, Fountain Hills Middle School for grades three to eight, and Fountain Hills High School for grades nine to twelve.
